Well for one, I care. I really do. I’ve always been a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to work, I like to please, do well, do a good job. I feel satisfied. Since starting Izzy and Harri, my mission is to continue this work ethic – and do a little extra to make my customers happy. I want to make a little difference to peoples day. In turn I also wanted to make a small difference by buying ethically sourced products, Fair Trade where I can, organic cotton (as the planet needs us!) – and generally gifts you can’t find on the high street! Here’s a little blog from a fabulous customer to let you know how it feels to be an Izzy and Harri customer…

I first came across Izzy and Harri on a Facebook advertising page. Having just getting around to decorating my 4-month-old daughters nursery I was looking for unusual and different items. I wasn’t a fan of the typical princess styles and wanted to put my own spin on her room. The first thing that caught my eye was the fair trade knitted rattles.
I was loving the Sass and Belle clouds and there was a cloud rattle that looked like it. I went on to find that these fair-trade items were helping support Bangladeshi women stay close to their families and enjoy work! As a qualified careers advisor, supporting people to keep in employment is a huge deal and for women with children is even bigger now that I am a mum.
I liked on the website that there was only a few available of each. It made it more niche and I liked that, I wanted something that not many others had or that wasn’t so mainstream.
I saw that there was an option for a promotional code and after speaking to Nicola she gave me a 10% off code which is fab considering I am on awful statutory maternity pay. I ended up ordering a cloud and two rainbows. 1 rainbow for Eva’s friend Aurelia rose.
The items arrived very quickly and was pleasantly surprised by a normally plain brown jiffy bag being jazzed up with stars and sparkly tape and when was even more surprised when I saw the items were gift wrapped with personalised tags and quotes. (We still have these for the box to show Eva when she is bigger.)
I also then saw that there was sweets on top, now I’ve never had a baby before but I’m pretty sure it is frowned upon to give a baby a lollipop so gathered it was for me! Great little treat. It is not common to get something for free with your purchase, so this made me smile!
I am always commenting on the fb page, entering competitions, showing pics of Eva’s nursery and I love keeping up to date with Nicola and her business. When I receive excellent customer service, I will give excellent well-deserved reviews and tell everyone about it!
Nicolas own creative spin and personality shines through in her business and the way she treats her customer and makes them feel valued! The fact that it is fair trade products is an absolute added bonus. I look forward to seeing more items.
